▶How fast is LMDB compared to SQLite?
LMDB reads: 5-10x faster than SQLite (mmap = zero copy). LMDB writes: 2-5x faster (batch writes). Trade-off: LMDB is key-value only (no SQL); SQLite is relational. For simple key-value, LMDB wins.
▶Does LMDB need a server?
No. Embedded database (library). Link into your app. Use same process, shared memory, no network latency. Similar to SQLite (no server), but faster.
